Backagården in Österlen offers a unique concert experience in its greenhouse, where visitors can enjoy music in a Mediterranean-inspired setting among fig, eucalyptus, and olive trees.

During the summer of 2025, performances by artists such as Eric Gadd, Gunhild Carling with her family, and jazz pianist Jan Lundgren are planned.

The concerts are often combined with food service, creating a complete experience for visitors. Backagården is located between Löderups Strandbad and Kåseberga, near the beaches of Sandhammaren and the Hagestad Nature Reserve.

Hanna's House is a four-winged farm where the stable and inner courtyard have been transformed into a stage and restaurant, combining meals with live music and cultural events of the highest quality. Located in the heart of Österlen, this venue offers an atmosphere and standard that have made it one of the most popular music scenes in southeastern Skåne.

Scen Österlen is a nonprofit theater association for children and youth. Since its inception in 1999, over 1500 young participants have been involved in more than 500 performances, seen by tens of thousands of visitors. Active artists and young leaders, who have grown within the organization, collaboratively address contemporary issues. Ambitious productions with full houses foster enhanced self-esteem among youth, driven by creativity and societal engagement.

Well-known throughout Sweden’s theater scene, Skillinge Teater offers acclaimed performances and events in the picturesque fishing village where Österlen’s rolling hills meet the sea. Since 1995, the theater has been housed in a whitewashed Skåne farmhouse featuring three stages and a now year-round restaurant. The large outdoor stage boasts no less than 1,500 seats!

Stjärnbryggeriet Taproom is an inviting meeting place located in Rörum, Österlen, where guests can enjoy "casual fine dining" in a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant offers creative small plates with local flavors, complemented by beer from its own brewery and carefully selected wines. The interior is characterized by charming drop-leaf tables and a creative staff that contributes to a cozy and welcoming ambiance.

In addition to food and drinks, Stjärnbryggeriet hosts a variety of events, including quiz nights with live music, tasting sessions, and concerts.

The country store in Vitaby, built in 1902, has been a central hub in the village for over a century. Until 2016, it operated as a traditional country store, but new opportunities have since emerged. In 2022, new owners took over this gem.

In the summer of 2024, Vitaby Lanthandel will host several concerts featuring some of Sweden's top artists. "We are extremely happy and proud to develop Vitaby Lanthandel into a destination for food, culture, and entertainment."

Sommarteatern in Ystad, a dedicated association with over 20 years of experience, presents a spectacular family musical each year. Over four summer weeks, 25 performances take place on the outdoor stage at Åberg’s Garden in Öja. With an original script and music, they create unforgettable experiences for the whole family.
In the summer of 2025, Sommarteatern will take the audience on an exciting adventure with Treasure Island—“a page-turner in theatrical form,” promising pirates, secret maps, and thrilling drama.
