Ystad Cultural Night

Ystad Kulturnatt is organized by the association Kulturnatt i Syd (KNIS). It aims to serve as a meeting point between cultural practitioners and the audience. With activities spread throughout the city over a limited number of hours, we want to offer people the chance to experience a variety of cultural events. Our goal is also to lower the barriers to culture and reach those who are less familiar with it. Ystad Kulturnatt is an opportunity for cultural workers and organizers to connect with a larger audience. By involving schools and associations, we aim to foster participation and co-creation.

Ystad Kulturnatt values diversity in society, which is reflected in the program. Although it is a cultural night, the event is designed to start during the daytime so that families with children can also enjoy the program. Ystad Kulturnatt is for everyone—both residents and visitors, adults and children.

The event is planned to be held annually, with the long-term goal of revitalizing the cultural life in the municipality and surrounding area. The first Kulturnatt will take place on Saturday, October 21, from 12:00 to 24:00.
