Workshop with stamp printing on linen

Monica Palmqvist, designer and craftswoman, holds a workshop with printing on linen.
For four hours you will have the opportunity to make pattern stamps in several different ways and create your own fabric for interior textiles through recycling. You will then take the stamps home. In addition to creating new fabrics with prints on older linen, you can also print details on, for example, your shirt or other linen garment that you want to decorate with your own pattern. For extra pattern inspiration, you can take part in the Monastery's exhibition "Sven Fristedt-master of patterns", or available pattern books, flora, etc. The possibilities are many! Bring older linen/cotton for recycling, e.g. towels, tablecloths, sheets, shirts, patches, fabrics, or anything else that can get a new pattern. You can also choose fabrics that already have a pattern and color. The fabric must be washed. Also bring sample patches to test print on and a pair of sewing scissors + a small sharp pair of scissors if you have one, such as embroidery or nail scissors. You can buy linen towels and tablecloths at flea markets and secondhand stores or bring your own. Various smaller materials are also available for purchase at cost price.
