Opening & Easter break: Nordic essence

Three nice things are happening this year – we are opening for the season, we are inaugurating the photo exhibition Nordic Beings – The Red List, and we are having an Easter holiday event!

The exhibition depicts the beings of folk beliefs as endangered species due to human impact on nature. It was created by Linnéa Jägrud, biologist and author, and photographer Tore Hagman. During the spring it will be at Glimmingehus.

Why are the beings of folk beliefs so rarely seen nowadays? They are strongly linked to our landscape, which we have changed so much. Where will the forest gnome hide when all the forest is cut down? How will the farmyard find a barn to stay in when everything is on a large scale?

Nordic Beings – The Red List will be inaugurated with Linnea on site at 1 pm! Join us then and take part in the fantastic pictures. Afterwards there will be a viewing and workshops on the subject of beings, and we will continue with this throughout the Easter holiday!

PROGRAM:
12:00 PM: General castle tour.
1:00 PM: Vernissage in the courtyard.
2:00 PM: Creature walk outdoors.
2:00 PM-4: Workshops: make your own creature from natural materials and describe it on a creature card.
