Opening: Eye & Eye

Torsten Jurell and Pu Mu Huang are different in age, gender and cultural background. But they share a desire to explore and develop glaze painting. They both work in Jingdezhen, the artisan city southwest of Shanghai, where porcelain was once invented. There they practice glaze painting. In the exhibition Eye & Eye, the two artists explore the possibilities of glaze painting.

Torsten Jurell, born in 1951, graduated from the Valand Academy of Fine Arts in Gothenburg in 1976. Since 2011, Jingdezhen has been the base for Torsten's work. Pu Mu Huang, born in 1996, is trained in traditional mural painting at CAFA in Beijing.

The exhibition runs from November 15 to January 11.
