Road signs for our time
Based on Road Signs, Anders Olsson and Anders Rosengren discuss some of Dag Hammarskjöld's main sources of inspiration. Dag Hammarskjöld's diary shows that it is in the interaction between inner reflection on existential questions and an external commitment to social issues that humans experience meaning. Perhaps in an era characterized by introversion, self-absorption and lack of reflection, Road Signs can open up new insights into the participation of the individual self in the common good.
Anders Olsson is chairman of the Swedish Academy's Nobel Committee and author.
Anders Rosengren is a professor of medicine and author.
