In the summer of 2024, the newly started Hagestad Summer Theater will put on Three Sisters in Österlen. The game site is a beautiful old barn in Hagestad which is transformed into a theater for a time.
Three Sisters is a play that touches on existential questions, grandiose dreams and persistent attempts to deal with the bitter reality. The play depicts people struggling with eternal dilemmas about how to live our lives and shape our future.
In this unique venue, Hagestad Summer Theater wants to create a performance that holds several parallel times and let Chekhov's comical and razor-sharp depiction of people's lives be framed by the Scanian summer idyll.
