Garden - Anniversary Exhibition: Trädgård - jubileumsutställning

Welcome to the opening on Saturday, July 27, from 13:00 to 16:00, with the inauguration at 14:00.

This summer exhibition, themed "Garden," features around seventy artists and artisans from the Östra Skånes Konstnärsgrupp.

The concept of the garden has fascinated artists, writers, architects, and philosophers throughout history, both in its literal and metaphorical meanings. The tension between artifact and nature is apparent and provides inspiration for various artistic interpretations. The "Garden – Anniversary Exhibition" at Tjörnedala Art Gallery explores the garden as a phenomenon through a wide range of visual artistic expressions and perspectives. The exhibition will be displayed both indoors at Tjörnedala Art Gallery and outdoors in the garden. In addition to the rich and diverse exhibition, a program of related events such as lectures, workshops, and open gardens will be offered.

At the same time, ÖSKG celebrates its 50th anniversary as an artist-run gallery. To mark this occasion, a special anniversary issue of *Konstnärsliv på Österlen* will be released at the vernissage, featuring prominent writers with historical journeys and in-depth artist portraits.

In the Garden Shop at the gallery, you can browse art, design items, furniture, and crafts, allowing you to enjoy beautiful pieces at home as well!

**PROGRAM**

**Workshops:**

- **August 6, 10:00-16:00**: Using hands as the primary tool, create pots using coiling and ringling techniques with Elisabeth Palm.

- **August 13, 10:00-16:00**: Grass Workshop – Create grass crowns and figures from a material found everywhere with Bodil Göransson.

- **August 20, 13:00-15:00**: Learn to take rose cuttings with Else Olsson.

**Lectures during the "Garden" exhibition:**

- **August 1, 15:00**: Biological diversity in three English gardens – A journey to Great Dixter, Knepp, and Church Farm with Sophia Callmer and Martin Stoltze.

- **August 7, 15:00**: An oasis for body and soul. Concepts of the garden as an earthly paradise in Islamic art with Linda Fagerström.

- **August 14, 15:00**: From magical herbs through monastic gardens to contemporary medicinal plants with Eva Ohlsson.

- **August 21, 15:00**: Ulla Molin’s garden with Gabriella Dahlman.

Lectures will be held at Svinahuset next to Tjörnedala Art Gallery. Cost: 100 SEK, including entry to the "Garden" exhibition.

**August 17-18, 11:00-16:00**: The Artist's Garden. Tickets can be purchased at the gallery. Cost: 100 SEK for entry to all gardens.
