SUNPLUGGED FESTIVAL - Ystad
SUNPLUGGED is a culture, art and innovation project that will inspire artists and citizens to turn to sunlight for guidance and "slow tech" principles that can help society become more sustainable - via artistic residencies, exhibitions, participatory activities and eventually an idea competition. Three European cities are involved in the collaboration: Ystad, Bari in Italy and Faro in Portugal. Each country is represented by an artist. The festival opens on July 5 in Kåseberga.
On Saturday 6 July, the festival continues its program at Ystad's art museum. Welcome to panel talks and creative writing workshops! During the day, you can listen to an interesting conversation about the role of creativity and the importance of the sun, and then participate in one of the two workshops that take place in parallel at the art museum.
Program:

Panel discussion on artistic creativity and future sustainable places.

The conversation is moderated by Tiago Prata, project manager for SUNPLUGGED.

Create concrete poetry!
The artist Kate Moss holds a workshop where you can create concrete poetry. Concrete poetry is a form of poetry where linguistic and visual components are mixed to create meaning.
The process is inspired by Kate Moss' own poetry and creative processes where sunlight is used as artistic material. Participants are expected to put away their cell phones during the workshop.
The workshop is free and suitable for all ages, but is best suited for adults.
The workshop is held in English with language support in Swedish.
Drop in, no pre-registration.
The event is part of the international art project SUNPLUGGED, which is initiated by ArQuente, Transversal Project and Basso Profilo and financed by Creative Europe, the Culture Council and Region Skåne. The project is carried out in collaboration with Ystad Municipality and Ystad Art Museum.
