SUNPLUGGED FESTIVAL - Kåseberga

Sunplugged is a culture, art and innovation project that will inspire artists and citizens to turn to sunlight for guidance and "slow tech" principles that can help society become more sustainable - via artistic residencies, exhibitions, participatory activities and eventually an idea competition. Three European cities are involved in the collaboration: Ystad, Bari in Italy and Faro in Portugal. Each country is represented by an artist.

FRIDAY 5 JULY the festival in Kåseberga opens. Welcome to the vernissage, art walk and dance performance around Ale Stenar and Kåseberga village house! Explore innovative sunlight artworks at SUNPLUGGED's art exhibition in Kåseberga.

Art walk
Guided tour where the artists show their works in the exhibition. The hike ends at Ale stones.
Participating artists in the exhibition are Kah Bee Chow (Sweden), Tó Quintas (Portugal), and Teatringestazione (Italy), who investigate sunlight as artistic material. All have worked in an artistic residency in Ystad during the spring.

Dance performance
Teatringestazione performs the dance performance "Radiant Rebellion" together with Studio Danza from Ystad.

Participation is free and the event is open to all ages. Children up to 12 years of age can participate together with an adult guardian.
Conversations and guidance are in English with language support in Swedish.
Kåseberga Byahus is located at Ales väg 15 in Kåseberga.
Number of participants limited to 30. Registration takes place via the form at https://sun-plugged.eu/.

The event is part of the international art project SUNPLUGGED, which is initiated by ArQuente, Transversal Project and Basso Profilo and financed by Creative Europe, the Culture Council and Region Skåne. The project is carried out in collaboration with Ystad Municipality and Ystad Art Museum.
