Big band party at the Grand Cinema!

Meet the early summer at Grand in Simrishamn. The evening offers Swedish music, by old masters such as Georg Riedel, Lars Gullin and Nils Lindberg as well as a slightly newer version by, for example, tonight's guest soloist tenor saxophonist Karl-Martin Almqvist. A swinging evening with Swedish tones mixed with traditional big band jazz.
The concert's guest soloist, Karl-Martin Almqvist, is a world-class musician who is now seen and heard in, among other things, the Danish Radio Big Band and in many other contexts. Harald Leander is the evening's cicerone and guides us through the Swedish song treasure. Both of our guests are good storytellers so many anecdotes and happy laughter are to be expected. Also with us are our fine singers Sara Städe and Ola Dahlqvist. All under the direction of Ola Denward.
