Soup lunch with Maria Arnadottir

The show consists of new and old, comic and sad, true and made-up stories. Some draw laughter, others touch deeply and some stories are told simply because they are good stories.

In the performance you will find many different stories, performed in different ways. There is a modern fable that is inspired by #metoo and is about a little hare's fight against a lion. The performance also includes both a rumination on what determines our fates and a modern tale about the man who was always unlucky. Of course, there is also a musty and almost true story about a wicked stepmother in Ödeshög, as well as an intriguing story about a Danish hunter in Skåne.

Maria makes each story her own and woven into the stories you will find her thoughts on various small miracles in our everyday lives, as well as a lot of musings on the universe, politics, equality, racism and much more.

Maria has developed an innovative form for Narrative Theater and found her own personal expression in the stage design. When Maria stands alone on stage, without scenography or technical aids, it is always a genuine, heartfelt and personal meeting with the audience.
