The Summerland – About Hope and Comfort
The story "Sommerlandet" was published in Norway in 1986 by priest Eyvind Skeie. It was written after a friend of his lost a child in an accident. Through its depiction of what happens after death, he aimed to help people navigate the landscape of grief.
The music, inspired by the story, blends folk and jazz influences. During the service, the narrated story is interwoven with songs.
