Small, small insects

The Creative School project 2025 will again this year draw attention to our local environment and create creative encounters for year 1 with art, crafts, insects and recycling. This year we are focusing on endangered so-called red-listed insects that are found as close as Ystad Strandskog.

Using collage and sculptural techniques, year 1 students at all schools in Ystad will create unique insects such as dragonflies, butterflies and beetles that are found in Ystad Strandskog together with artist Monica Palmqvist. We will use recycled materials, recycling, discarded books from libraries and older printed matter from Ystad Municipality in the manufacturing process.
