Genealogy Day

Search for your roots with the help of Österlen's genealogy and folk life researchers association. The association is on site during the day and will help you get started or progress with your genealogical research. Storösterlen's Spelmanslag offers live music at 12.30 p.m. A large part of the fiddler team's repertoire is taken from various archives and the music is often combined with stories about the fiddlers who brought the music into our time. At this particular performance, there will be an extra focus on the music that is in Österlen's museum's collections and the stories that can be extracted from hard-to-interpret notes in handwritten music books. Expect fun, swing and playfulness. Free entrance.
