Shinrin-yoku – Forest bathing for the soul
Welcome to “Shinrin-yoku”, an exhibition where artists Nina Thorén and Lisa Rinnevuo invite you to a quiet encounter with the wonder, mystery and inner life of nature. The title refers to the Japanese tradition of “forest bathing” – a practice for rediscovering peace, balance and presence through nature.

In this dreamy world, Eastern symbolism and Nordic nature poetry meet. Through paintings, haiku poems and poetic Japanese expressions, the visitor is taken into a reality where both geishas, forest creatures and Nordic animals – walk as messengers between the visible and the invisible.

The exhibition is a tribute to the supernatural beauty of nature, the mystery of life, to wonder and awe, and to the silence where we can hear what otherwise remains unheard.
