Conversation at Backåkra with Maria Lancing

Artist Maria Lancing has rich childhood memories of Österlen in the 1950s – a remote place at the time. Sailing ships from all over the world and long voyages gave the villagers contact with the outside world. During the 20th century, artists, musicians, journalists and researchers came to visit and some settled in the area. The Lancing family home was a hub for these exciting and inspiring people.
