My Big Fat Father
During a summer in 1950s Sweden, we follow 11-year-old Osvald and his relationship with his father through madness, tragedy, fantasy and love. An autobiographical father-and-son saga with Rolf Lassgård in a breakthrough role as the alcoholic dreamer Tjaffo, who won the Golden Globe Award.
The film received much praise in contemporary reviews and parallels were drawn to Fellini and Kusturica.
