Raffaele Buonfiglio - painting

Raffaele Buonfiglio (1947 - 2016) was an Italian architect and artist active in Italy and Sweden.

Raffaele himself wrote this about his art: “My images are strongly characterized by the ´scenic presence´ of color. The aim is to let color express itself and reveal all its emotional and expressive potential. The work revolves around the expressive possibilities of the three-dimensional within the framework of a traditionally two-dimensional art form. The method consists of highlighting the individual personalities of the different colored objects in the image by separating and lifting them, thus generating shadows and dynamic interactions.”
