Easter break at Glimmingehus - Nordic nature

Three nice things coincide this year – we open for the season, we inaugurate the photo exhibition Nordic beings – Red List, and we have Easter holiday events!

That’s why we’re dedicating ourselves to the exhibition’s theme throughout the holiday – join us on a beings tour, take part in a digital beings quiz in our Renaissance-style brewery, and let your creativity flow in our beings workshop in the 17th-century roaster’s house.

The photo exhibition depicts the beings of folk beliefs as endangered species due to human impact on nature. It was created by Linnéa Jägrud, biologist and author, and photographer Tore Hagman. During the spring, it will be at Glimmingehus.

Why are the beings of folk beliefs so rarely seen these days? They are strongly linked to our landscape, which we have changed so much. Where will the forest gnome hide when all the forest has been cut down? How will the farmyard find a barn to stay in when everything is on a large scale?

From Maundy Thursday onwards, we will be expanding the program with tours and quizzes!

PROGRAM:
