On the steep side of the ruin

The monastery was almost demolished at the end of the 19th century. By then, the building had been neglected for almost a century. At the beginning of the 20th century, the city council's demolition decision was reversed and the monastery was restored instead. The exhibition in the monastery's cloister shows photographs from before, during and after the monastery's restoration.
