On the Literature scene - Bisan Edwan

The library celebrates Banned Books Week Sweden with a performance by Bisan Edwan, a Palestinian author, publisher and currently a writer in refuge in Lund.
As a poet and writer, Bisan Edwan mixes political activism with literary expression in order to challenge the dominant narratives about Palestine and its people. With her poetry, she also gives voice to people's, especially women's, innermost longings and dreams.
Bisan Edwan talks with Karolina Jeppson, librarian and cultural writer, PEN Skåne. The conversation will be in English.

Banned Books Week Sweden is organized by the Dawit Isaak Library in Malmö and Swedish PEN. It is a way to keep the conversation about free speech alive and a defense of everyone's right to read.
