New York 1974 - photographer Lennart Durehed

Photographer Lennart Durehed (b. 1950) worked as an assistant to Irving Penn in New York in the mid-1970s. The images in the exhibition New York 1974 were taken during weekends in the southern part of Manhattan and on Coney Island. Since then, the images have been lying in a negative archive for 50 years and only a few of them have been shown previously at Moderna Museet before the entire collection is shown for the first time in 2024 at Vida Konsthall, Öland, and at Galleri Glas, Stockholm.
