Music sessions in Östra Herrestad's church

In connection with the weekend mass ringing in Östra Herrestad's church at 18.00 Saturdays in July you have the opportunity to visit a unique church that is otherwise closed.

With origins from the 12th century and unique wall paintings from the late Middle Ages, it is a gem among Österlen's churches and an inspiring environment for a musical experience. In connection with the ringing, the village team arranges musical moments that last just over half an hour.

Cellist and composer Amit Sen presents a new world of sound. When you connect the cello to a computer and the church is filled with the most wonderful sounds and beats. Amit who lives next door (Hammenhög) has a background in jazz and modern music, and constantly finds new ways to let us be cherished by music.
