Music session Östra Herrestad Church

Östra Herrestad's church, dating from the 14th century, is a very beautiful little church. The atmosphere is intimate and the acoustics excellent. The church is usually closed, but Östra Herrestad's village council opens it up on Saturdays in July. Take the chance to study the dramatic ceiling paintings from the late 15th century and enjoy music of various kinds.

There is a fine organ in the church, and every year it gets its obvious place in our program. This time it is treated by Jesper Glans, the everyday organist in Ljungby Pastorat, but with a past in Malmö. His last concert at aroused great enthusiasm. This time he will offer summer music for organ.
