Memorial concert for Olle Adolphson

"Give me a day" wrote Olle Adolphson, the song that people adopted and named the Österlenvisan. Now we are giving Olle his own day with a memorial concert in Ravlunda church and wreath-laying on his grave after the concert. It happens on the day he would have turned 90 years old. If you turn your gaze to the east before entering the church, you will see the sea at Haväng, where Olle himself performed the Österlenvisan for the first time. Turn your gaze to the west and you can glimpse Olle's grave and the globular tombstone. Then take the step into the intimate church room, here this evening you can listen to some of Olle Adolphson's most popular songs both through solo singing and choir. The concert evening also offers stories about Olle's life in Österlen. The performers are the jazz singer Mimi Terris, the singer and guitarist Anders Anton, the Älskade Olle choir led by Alf Bengtsson and the Olle Adolphson connoisseur Börje Bengtsson. After the concert, a wreath is laid at the grave with unison singing "Give me a day".
