Environment, food and health

The evening's topic provides a background to the connections between the production and consumption of food and nature. Which substances in food do we need for our health, and which should we avoid? How are we going to feed a growing population while the agricultural area is decreasing? Can food choices and cultivation methods affect the environment and the quality of the soil? Why is it important to choose foods that are produced in an ecologically sustainable way? The lecture is based on the content of the book "Environment, food and health - from a sustainability perspective", written by the evening's speaker Ulla Rosander, who tries to clarify these not entirely easy questions. Kristoffer Hewitt contributes with views from his field of knowledge.
We also offer coffee.
