Medieval Lucia at Glimmingehus

Lucia time was during the Middle Ages the darkest time of the year filled with magic. Come and experience a cold but atmospheric Lucia celebration in the great hall at Glimmingehus!

Falsobordone - consisting of national fiddler Erik Ask-Upmark and Anna Rynefors - plays contemporary music at Christmas time on instruments such as bagpipes, harp, rebec and portable organ. You get the medieval background with the saint and of course a Lucia train appears - song, light, history and music!

PROGRAM:

18.00: mulled wine and gingerbread in Stekarhuset from the 17th century.
18.30: Take a seat in the main hall!
18.30-19.00: Medieval music with Falsobordone in the castle.
19.15: Lucia Train with students from Sophiaskolan in Rörum. Under the auspices of Lions Simrishamn. (an approximate time)
19.30-20.00: We talk about the background to the Lucia tradition and how the saint was celebrated in the Middle Ages.
