Marie Modiano and Peter von Poehl

Marie Modiano is a French singer and writer. She grew up in Paris, studied drama at the Royal Academy in London and then worked as an actress for a few years. Her first album I’m Not A Rose was released in 2006 and it was during the recording in Berlin that she met the Swedish musician Peter von Poehl, who was hired as a guitarist.

Peter von Poehl is a Swedish singer, songwriter, composer and musician. Poehl made his own solo debut in 2006 with the critically acclaimed album Going To Where The Tea Trees Are. In 2018, he won the Guldbaggen for the music for Jens Assurs’s Korparna.

Marie and Peter married in 2007 and have since collaborated on a dozen albums and played hundreds of concerts worldwide.
