The Mare Nostrum project began as a collaboration of three concerts in Sweden with three of Europe’s leading jazz musicians. This year Paolo Fresu, Richard Galliano and Jan Lundgren celebrate twenty years of Mare Nostrum and their fourth album together, “Mare Nostrum IV”.

Paolo Fresu, an award-winning trumpeter, flugelhornist and composer from Italy, has recorded over three hundred and fifty albums.

Accordion and bandoneon virtuoso Richard Galliano from France, also a composer, is one of the world’s leading jazz musicians, having collaborated with several of France’s most prominent singers.

Jan Lundgren from Sweden is an internationally active and acclaimed jazz pianist and composer, and artistic director of the Ystad Sweden Jazz Festival.
