A love story from beginning to end - but also from end to beginning! We follow a relationship in joy and sorrow, ups and downs in a musical about the wonderful but difficult love.
Cathy sits alone and mourns her broken marriage. Jamie is over the moon – he's just met a lovely girl. So begins the musical about Cathy and Jamie's 5-year relationship, which we get to follow from two sides and where the stories meet in the middle at their wedding.
While Jamie enjoys success as a writer, Cathy struggles with her less successful career as a musical artist. It wears on the relationship, and their jobs also force them to spend more and more time apart. With music influenced by pop, jazz, classical, klezmer, folk and rock, the joys and sorrows of love are depicted.

The musical had its world premiere in Chicago in 2001, off-Broadway in 2002 and was made into a film in 2014. It has received numerous awards and nominations, including a Drama Desk Award for 'Outstanding Music and Lyrics'.
