The literary scene - Carl-Johan Vallgren

Carl-Johan Vallgren made his debut in 1987 with the novel The Nomads. The widely read and August Prize-winning novel The Story of a Wonderful Love (2002) is about a deaf-mute dwarf and his wonderful journey through 19th-century Europe; here, fantasy is mixed with historical facts. Authenticity and deception are themes in Kunzelmann & Kunzelmann (2009). The Seaman (2012) is a dark story about sibling love and betrayal and about everyday encounters with the strange. Under the pseudonym Lucifer, Vallgren made his debut as a thriller writer in 2013 with the novel The Shadow Boy, followed by The Pigs (2015).
In 2024, Din tid kommer was published, a crime story that revolves around the deep grief when a loved one dies.
Now he is visiting Ystad City Library to talk about his writing and his latest book.
