The role of artists and writers in giving the concept of Österlen a content is great. Vik, Rörum, Vitemölla, Haväng, Ravlunda, Kivik, Kåsebergaåsen, Löderup – everywhere they have set up easels and found inspiration for their poems. The topics covered in the lecture are why Österlen became a pilgrimage region for artists, the Österlen light, how artists and writers were followed to what we today call Österlen and how it affects the image of Österlen today.
