Culture Night at Ystad Museum of Art

CULTURAL NIGHT AT YSTAD ART MUSEUM

12:30 PM - TOUR OF "GRÄNSTRAKT"
The museum director Ýrr Jónasdóttir will give a tour of our current exhibition “Gränstrakt.”

1:00 PM - JAZZ CONCERT WITH THE CULTURE SCHOOL
The Culture School’s jazz ensemble, consisting of a brass section and a backing group, will perform entertainment music in a variety of styles.

1:00 PM - 4:00 PM - OPEN STUDIO
Come and create your own landscapes with watercolor paints, watercolors, and oil pastels. Draw inspiration from the museum’s exhibitions. If the weather is nice, you can take your materials outside and sit in the garden at the back of the museum. An art educator will be present. Suitable for all ages. Drop-in.

3:00 PM - TOUR OF "SKÅNSKA DRAGONEER RIDA TILL BAD"
The 4.6 x 10 meter painting "Skånska dragoner rida till bad" by Danish artist Oscar Matthiesen is currently on display at Ystad Art Museum. Who were the men on the horses? Emil Sjörup from Ystad's Cultural Historical Association will tell you!

4:00 PM - CONCERT WITH HARMONIKÖREN
Concert with Harmonikören, performing delightful songs by, among others, Hasse & Tage and Povel Ramel.

Ystad Art Museum has free admission during Cultural Night. Our opening hours are 12 PM - 6 PM.
