CULTURAL HERITAGE: BAKERY, FORGING AND CLAY
The days aim to create understanding, interest and commitment to cultural heritage. This year's theme is Living Cultural Heritage - the methods, knowledge and skills that have been passed down from one generation to the next.
That's why you can take part in bread baking in the 17th-century oven, as well as blacksmithing and clay molding at the building hut! The bread is provided by Lovisa Andersson, who otherwise runs the micro-bakery Kornkultur. On Friday and Saturday, she traditionally bakes Vegger - a star-shaped bread that appears in illustrations of feasts from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance - as well as Platina bread, following an original recipe from the late 15th century.
On Sunday it's time for forging and clay lining! Then Robert Karlsson from Robert Karlsson Art Craft Design will forge in the building cabin's ace at 12-4pm. At the same time, mason Henrik Nilsson from HN building maintenance works with clay lining directly nearby. Take the opportunity to ask questions about blacksmithing, bricklaying, clay lining and baking! Maybe you can also help here and there.
