Konstrundan 2024

During the art round at Österlen, we have two exhibitors at Sköllengården.

We have Jenny Lind with her beautiful watercolors and Tina Thornberg with her inspiring photo art from Österlen.

We also serve coffee and coffee bread in our lounge.

Photo exhibition "FÖRUNDRAN" at Sköllengården

Join me on my walk in our beautiful nature and let yourself be Amazed by its magic. I, who exhibits my photos, is called Tina Thornberg and I live permanently here in Österlen, more specifically in Baskemölla and Gyllebo. My main elixir of life is animals & nature and I stay out in nature every day where I get strength and inspiration. I have a conviction that nature is man's best medicine and also without any side effects. My interest in photography has grown over the past few years and I find it a great way to preserve and share all the beauty that surrounds us.

In conjunction with my photo exhibition, I will create a fundraiser at the Nature Conservation Society to help save our wild bees. Bees are vital to our food production and the entire ecosystem. But a third of our wild bee species are about to disappear. Poisons, food shortages, a changing landscape and climate change threaten our wild gardeners. It can have serious consequences for humanity and biodiversity. A third of my sales proceeds for the photos will therefore go to this fundraiser to help save our wild bees. No one can do everything but everyone can do something.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITOR - JENNY LIND

In 2024, I will show my watercolors here at the fantastic Sköllengården. My hope is that my art will become a positive element in the beautiful environment and that it will provide opportunities for reflection.

ABOUT ME

So my name is Jenny Lind, and I was born and raised here in Österlen.

I have always liked to paint and was active as a youngster, but just like many others, life got in the way and the brush ended up on the shelf. And there it was until one day exactly 1.5 years ago when everything stopped, covid-19 had come to Österlen. All of a sudden I had time for other things and after an inspiring conversation with a good friend I picked up the brush again.

After that day, painting again has a given place in my everyday life and I paint as soon as the opportunity and inspiration comes, and I get really warm inside when I see how the color flows over the paper.

In many of my paintings I let chance decide what the subject will be and I think the essence of my painting can be summed up with the following quote.

“You don't always have to have a plan. Sometimes you just need to breathe, let go and trust, and see where it takes you." (Unknown).

I have deliberately chosen not to name my paintings as I think it is of great importance that you as a viewer can add your own interpretation to the image.

In conclusion, I wish with all my heart that my paintings should convey a feeling of calmness and that they should give you, the viewer, an opportunity for reflection.
