Artist talk at Ystad's art museum

Artist talk with Richard Johansson in the art museum's auditorium 16/8 at 6pm.

Richard Johansson is a fearless and curious artist who is interested in cultures and expressions that are not often depicted within the spaces and frames of the art world. Inspired by American and Swedish rural culture and folk art, he views and portrays, with an honest and sincere look, a reality shaped by memories and longing. He is inspired by what he sees and has seen, surrounded by the modern world's information cauldron of music, television, politics, sex, machines, weapons, love and rebellion. But in his art, nature and birds are also present as well as the past and forgotten, a society that no longer exists and its stories.
