Kikki Danielsson - Farewell Tour - Ystad
Kikki Danielsson says goodbye after over 50 years in the spotlight!!
Now something big is happening - A show about life, music and memories.
Kikki Danielsson has long been one of our most beloved artists whose music has constantly reached new listeners and built bridges across generational boundaries.
When you say "Kikki", almost everyone between the ages of 5 and 95 knows who you are referring to.
Since her first successes with Wizex in the early 1970s, her life has been lived almost continuously in the public eye.
It is both a remarkable and extremely impressive life journey that the once 5-year-old little girl from Osby with an alleged "singing disorder" has offered.
But even though the broadsheets have subscribed to her name and the evening newspapers have constantly searched for flamboyant gossip about her, it is music that has ultimately been the guiding light.
In addition to winning the Melodifestivalen and a long string of hits on the Swedish charts, her inimitable voice has given us many celebratory moments. As a pioneer in country music's entry into the Swedish folk soul, her contribution cannot be overemphasized. Perhaps Kikki Danielsson is still the only Swedish artist to have had a career in the country capital Nashville, where she is still an honorary citizen and has been awarded the city's key. So now that it is time to sum up her career with a final big farewell tour, there are many hits, stories and memories to be discussed in front of the audience. "There's something big going on," as the show is called, is a manifestation of an artist's life that is unparalleled in Swedish entertainment history. With her characteristic humor and closeness to both the dark and bright sides of life, Kikki leads us through a life where singing has always been central. With a baggage full of hits like "Bra Vibrationer", "Dag efter dag", "Jag trodde änglarna fanns", "Miss Decibel" and others performed by a big band, it is an outstanding demonstration of how music influences us throughout our lives.
Warm welcome.
