Jan Lundgren & Yamandu Costa

The idea for the collaboration between the festival's artistic director, pianist Jan Lundgren, and Brazilian guitar virtuoso Yamandu Costa originated during the jazz festival three years ago. "Inner Spirits" premiered in February this year at the Stockholm Concert Hall. In addition to new compositions written by Jan Lundgren and Yamandu Costa for this program, they perform Swedish and Brazilian music, ranging from Evert Taube to Antônio Carlos Jobim. In between, you'll find Cornelis Vreeswijk and Olle Adolphson as naturally integrated parts of the performance.
