Opening of the exhibition The Heritage

"Heritage - an exhibition about second and third generation Swedish-Finns" depicts the experiences of Swedish-Finns of language, identity and belonging. Through portraits, quotes and powerful stories, you will meet people who grew up with Finnish roots in Sweden and who generously share their lives, thoughts and heritage.

The exhibition is based on over thirty interviews with people from different parts of Swedish-Finnish society - from well-known cultural figures to everyday voices - and highlights stories that are rarely heard, but which deserve a clear place in the public space.

Among the participants are:
• Susanna Alakoski - author and August Prize winner
• Anneli Hulthén - former member of parliament and county governor
• Tommy Myllymäki - star chef and internationally acclaimed food profile
