More People Are Listening to Books, But Reading Aloud for Adults Is Less Common

Author Ulf Mårtensson will host two sessions where he reads aloud from his latest book, The Road Back, a historical novel set in Skåne in 1945. The book is a standalone sequel to the novel Another Path.

Both books have been well-received by readers and critics alike. They depict the fate of a tailor's family in Skåne, set against the backdrop of the era’s challenges, including Nazism, war, and unemployment. The novels also explore the life journeys of three young individuals during a time of societal change.

In his daily life, Ulf Mårtensson serves as the cultural editor at Ystads Allehanda. The novels are partly based on his family history.
