Guided tour of Ystad on a vintage fire truck
You will take a guided tour in an open fire truck from the 1930s and get to feel the wings of Ystad's history, such as stories about the monastery and church that were built in the 13th century and more than three hundred half-timbered houses from the 16th century and onwards. Kings and trolls will also be mentioned. Several funny stories, some more true than others, are told and it is a pleasant experience for both young and old as we also visit our own troll forest.
The tours depart from the city center, Stortorget, which was built in the 12th century.
Ystads Frivillige Bergnings-Corps was founded in 1839 and is Sweden's oldest volunteer fire department.
