Frida Green captivates audiences with her powerful voice and soulful singing, gaining an ever-growing reputation in Swedish pop music and becoming a sought-after artist. During this year's jazz festival, she will perform at O’Learys in Ystad for four nights, from Wednesday to Saturday, delivering a program that blends pop, soul, and blues with a jazz foundation. Expect a range of performances from classic jazz standards to new interpretations and jazz renditions of pop songs.

Frida Green, now based in Stockholm, was born and raised in Ystad. Her vocal talent was recognized early on, leading her to sing in various choirs and local bands. She quickly became a well-known and beloved artist in her hometown and surrounding areas. At twenty-two, she sang on Badpojken’s hit "Johnny G (The Guidetti Song)," which topped the charts in the summer of 2015. Her major breakthrough came in 2018 when she participated in TV4's "Talang" and reached the final, leading to her debut single "Beat Em Up." In 2021, Frida Green competed in Melodifestivalen with "The Silence," qualifying for Andra chansen.

Frida Green also composes music and is one of the composers for Sommarteatern Ystad’s annual outdoor performances at Öja.
