Film Landscapes in Skåne

The Skåne landscape has long attracted uniquely visionary filmmakers, including Jan Troell, Ingmar Bergman, Hasse & Tage, Bo Widerberg, and Richard Hobert.

Author and journalist Caroline Alesmark has recently published Film Landscapes in Skåne, a book exploring the region’s cinematic history, featuring 50 selected films and their filming locations. In her lecture, she will share insights into some of these sites and the process behind the book, with a focus on Skåne’s film history since 1980.

Bus Tour to Österlen’s Filming Locations
After the lecture, a bus will be waiting outside the library, and at approximately 12:30 PM, we will embark on a tour following in the footsteps of cinema, guided by Caroline Alesmark. The journey will take us to several filming locations in Österlen featured in her book. Bring your own coffee basket. The tour is expected to conclude around 3:30 PM back at the library.

This bus tour is organized in collaboration between Österlens Museum and the Association for Antiquities and Local Heritage in Southeastern Skåne.
