Elsa and Nathanael Beskow
When Elsa and Natanael Beskow got engaged in 1893, they promised each other not to retreat into their own happiness, but to live for those who suffer. Their lives would go hand in hand with the great struggles for justice of the twentieth century - for workers' rights, for universal and women's suffrage and for children's right to be children. Together they had six sons - one of whom was Bo, and created around sixty books and several social movements.
Annika Persson has written a book about the Beskow couple, which was published in 2024.
