Ellen Trotzig in Rörum - hiking

Join cultural historian Lena Alebo on a walk through Rörum together with the artist Ellen Trotzig. Here in Rörum she spent several summers from 1905. Ellen Trotzig is considered one of the female pioneers and was already noticed by both art lovers and critics during her lifetime. Her paintings were described as tapestries and as organ music. We visit places that Ellen Trotzig depicted in her works and places where she lived during her stay here. With the help of her diaries, we can follow events and thoughts. Here we also meet friends and acquaintances of the artist – Mother Bengta, Nils Persson at Stränte and her friend Selma Rosenberg. There are many preserved sketches and paintings from the Rörum hills and the farms in and around the village. We end the walk at the Rörum farm hotel with a slideshow and coffee and cakes from Ellen Trotzig's recipe book.
