DR Big Band

DR Big Band begins the season with a true big band tour-de-force, where three of the band's own musicians take center stage as soloists: flutist and saxophonist Nicolai Schultz, trombonist Peter Dahlgren and trumpeter Gidon Nunes Vaz.

Each season, DR Big Band performs with a number of prominent guest artists from both Sweden and abroad.
But the band's own musicians are also prominent jazz figures in their own right. It's noticeable every time one of them gets up and delivers a well-formulated solo during a concert - and here the audience gets a whole evening focusing on the band's own musicians in a spectacular start to the season.
