Doug Seegers (US)

Few in Sweden have probably missed the story of Doug Seegers, the homeless street musician who was "discovered" by Swedish artists Jill Johnson and Magnus Carlson during the recording of the SVT program Jill's veranda in Nashville. Doug performed his song "Going Down to the River", which the artists appreciated so much that they offered him to record the song directly in Johnny Cash's old studio and build much of the program around him, his song and background.
