Bengt is the sole parent to Melissa, 13 years old. As she gradually distances herself from him, as teenagers tend to do, his care and concern turn into obsession. He begins to suspect that she is being exploited in a relationship with her older writing course instructor and starts chasing her through the nights. One day, Melissa is truly missing. This is a monologue based on Jesper Larsson's novel 'Den dagen den sorgen', with which he won the Swedish Radio Novel Prize in 2022.
