The first people in Scania
Local history evening at Glimmingehus:
Well-known archaeologist and military historian Bo Knarrström gives the lecture The first people in Scania - New findings about the hunters at the end of the ice age.
A lot is happening in the research about our oldest stone age! Among other things, Bo will talk about the research, how wrong we have been, found material, lifestyle - and the occasional anecdote.
Who were the first people to come to this part of our world when the ice retreated? Were they found here in Österlen? If so where?
In addition, antiquarian Ulrika Wallebom from Österlen's museum participates. Ulrika will show some of the oldest finds made in Österlen.
Afterwards we offer coffee and cake! Register by September 30 at the latest to glimmingehus@raa.se. NOTE - pre-registration only!
The event is a collaboration between Glimmingehus, the Hembygdskretsen Tumathorp and the Association for Ancient Heritage and Homeland Conservation in Southeast Scania.
